License N67 of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia.

The bank started its activity in 1996 as "Midland Armenia Bank” JSC. In 1998 it was renamed into "HSBC Bank Armenia” CJSC. The co-founders of the bank are the HSBC Group - 70%, and the investors representing the Armenian Diaspora.

The bank is the member of SWIFT and Bankmail payment systems.

The bank has 10 branches in Yerevan (66 Teryan St., 9 Vazgen Sargsyan Street , 4/1 Baghramyan Avenue, 3 Komitas St., 47 Komitas Avenue, 31a Tigran Mets Avenue, 1 Nersisyan Street, 14 Bagratunyats, 19/10 Gayi Avenue, 3 Tsitsernakaberd Highway).

As of 30 June 2014, the bank serves 35,879 individuals and 1,366 legal entities.

As of 31 June 2014, the bank has 385 employees.

As of March 31, 2017, the total capital of the bank is AMD 48,565,451 thousand, assets – AMD 217,893,830 thousand, liabilities – AMD 169,328,379 thousand.
