“Converse Bank” CJSC was established in December 1993 as “North-Armenian” shareholding bank. In 1994 the Bank was renamed as “Converse Shareholding Bank”, and in 1997 it was reorganized as “Converse Bank” closed joint stock company (banking license No. 57 issued by the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia).

Converse Bank’s shareholders are Advanced Global Investments LLC (80,94%), HayPost Trust Management B.V. Company (14.06%), the final beneficiary of which is Argentine businessman of Armenian origin Eduardo Eurnekian, and the Armenian Apostolic Church (5%).

“Converse Bank” CJSC is a universal bank, which provides the whole range of banking services: lending, deposits, foreign currency exchange, issuance of banking guarantees, online payments, etc.

The Bank is a member of “NASDAQ OMX Armenia” OJSC, the Union of Banks of Armenia, and SWIFT system, a shareholder of “Artsakhbank” CJSC and “Converse Collection” LLC, official agent of the Ministry of Finance of the RA and the Central Bank of the RA for operations at the market of government (treasury) short-term bonds, member of “ArCa”, “Visa International”, “MASTERCARD” payment systems, full-fledged member of the “International Factors Group” factoring organization. In 2009 it became a member of the world’s largest and most prestigious international project PRIORITY PASS that allows access to VIP areas of airports. In 2010 it was registered as insurance agent in the CBA’s Register of Insurance Agents.

The Bank is a member of a number of fast money transfer systems, namely INTEREXPRESS, MoneyGram, UNISTREAM, Anelik, Best, as well as is an operator and clearing bank of Converse Transfer system.

Since 2013 the Bank has been providing services of international electronic trade with 3D Secure system, using Visa International and MasterCard cards.

The Bank participates in several projects, namely, KFW project for Support to Development of Small and Medium Private Entrepreneurship in Armenia, the World Bank’s Small and Medium Enterprise Access to Finance Project, the European Investment Bank’s SME lending, and the EBRD’s micro, small, and medium business finance lending projects. Converse Bank also participates in the EBRD’s Trade Facilitation Program, within the scopes of which it is an issuer bank, and within the scopes of the credit limit specified by the Revolving Credit Agreement (RCA) the Bank implements financing of import and export transactions.

Converse Bank has 34 branches, 13 of which are located in Yerevan, 20 – in the regions of Armenia, and one – in the NKR.

As of December 31, 2017, the total capital of the bank is AMD 35,999,621 thousand, assets – AMD 252,735,853 thousand, liabilities – AMD 216,736,232 thousand.
