Armenia expects to get financial assistance from the EU

 Wednesday 04 July 2012

Yerevan/Mediamax/. President Serzh Sargsyan stated today that Armenia expects to get financial assistance from the EU to neutralize the influence of the financial and economic tensions in the Eurozone.

The Armenian President stated this addressing a joint briefing with the President of the European Council Herman Van Rompuy in Yerevan, Mediamax reports.

“I have taken part in the session of the European People’s Party in Brussels recently. The discussion mainly focused on the financial and economic situation in the Eurozone and possible ways out of the situation. Economies of small states are especially vulnerable during such tense situations and we expect that as an Eastern Partner we’ll get our share of support to overcome the difficulties”, said the Armenian President.
