Armenian Ambassador to Iran Artashes Tumanyan qualified relations between Yerevan and Tehran historical.

According to Iranian Tasnim news agency, Ambassador told journalists on September 25 that “we need to make effort to intensify Armenian-Iranian relations in all spheres”.
 
“Iran, a country with huge economic infrastructures, is in close relations with Armenia. Nevertheless, bilateral trade between the two states is on low level with annual trade turnover not exceeding USD 300 mln,” Artashes Tumanyan said.
 
Ambassador emphasized that Armenia is in good relations with Iran Chamber of Commerce, although “the two sides need to know each other better”.
