Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev will arrive in Yerevan tonight.

Eurasian Intergovernmental Council meeting will be held in Armenia on May 20, which will be attended by the heads of governments of the Eurasian Economic Union member states.

Meeting of Prime Ministers of the Eurasian Economic Union was supposed to be held on April 7 in Yerevan, but it was delayed because some of th participans thought that holding it in Yerevan might be considered as support to Armenia, in light of the tense situation in Artsakh.

Receiving Dmitry Medvedev on April 7, Armenian President had particularly said:

“I’m sorry to say that some of our EAEU partners refused to come to Armenia and participate in the pre-scheduled event. I don’t know how this helped Azerbaijan, but they definitely diminished the authority of our organization”.
