IAB Centre

IAB Centre CJSC is a British-Armenian company formed in 2001.


IAB has been recognised by ACCA as a Registered Tuition Provider since 2002. IAB Centre has been accredited under the EBRD Business Advisory Service (BAS) in Armenia since May 2003. Since January 2008 and has been recognised by ACCA as a Gold Learning Partner. Since March 2008 IAB has been licensed as an ACCA computer-based exam (CBE) centre in Armenia.

IAB Centre offers a wide range of training and consultancy services to the financial and business community in Armenia and Georgia. The senior managers are qualified members of ACCA and its team of professionals has extensive knowledge and experience in their specialist fields.

IAB Centre’s corporate clients include KPMG Armenia, PricewaterhouseCoopers Armenia and Georgia, Ernst and Young, K-Telecom, HSBC Armenia, Cascade Capital Holding, Electrical Networks of Armenia, Star Divide, Converse Bank, InecoBank, IIG, Byblos Bank, Cafesjian Museum Foundation and the Central Bank of Armenia.

ACCA courses
IAB Centre provides preparatory courses for all ACCA papers. These courses are designed to help students develop their analytical and problem solving skills. The classes are held twice a week with a total classroom time of 50 hours (3 hours per session) during the ten weeks prior to the examination week. Courses for the June exam session start at the end of March, and, for the December exam session, at the end of September. These courses include evening and weekend classes for local students. For the convenience of international students IAB offers short-term intensive sandwich courses.

Finance and accounting courses
International Finance Reporting Standards (IFRS) training course for the finance sector contains two different levels of sessions.

IFRS Synopsis provides a general understanding of IFRS and introduces the core concepts of each standard.

IFRS application guidance is focused on the practical application aspects of each IFRS and is intended for those who need to understand the detailed practical application of each standard.

Accounting for beginners is intended for those who want to start their career in the field of Accounting and Finance as well as for bookkeepers and junior accountants. It presents the principles of accounting and finance, running bookkeeping and basics of RA tax legislation.

The training course for AS-Accountant (Armenian accounting software) is designed for beginner or practicing accountants.

Finance for Non-Financial Managers is a practice-oriented course which will benefit those who would like to use financial information for better business management and decision making. It introduces the legal financial statements, covers the basics of cost and management accounting, and offers techniques for performance management, planning and forecasting.

Taxation Seminars are held periodically as consultations for practitioner accountants with Government specialists on the latest developments in the RA tax legislation.

Management courses

Records Management and Archiving: This course provides an overview of the International standard on the Records Management, covering aspects of the design, maintenance and implementation of a RM system with possible further consultancy on developing a records management system tailored to the specific needs of the organization for interested organizations.

Negotiation and conflict management: The purpose of this training is to offer tools and skills that will help participants create mutually satisfying agreements, use efficient processes and enhance productive relationships, develop flexibility by responding to different behaviors and handle emotion in conflicts.

Creativity in business management: Innovative thinking and results of all activities are essential in modern business. This course is designed to challenge participants to learn thinking through problems creatively in order to generate new and original solutions and transform ideas into practical initiatives.

Motivating individuals and teams: Participants of this course will learn the behaviors and language that trigger motivation, and will be able to motivate ‘disaffected followers’, to create and retain a sense of belonging and to maintain motivation when everyone is under pressure.

Delivering team potential: This course will provide effective team building and management skills. Course participants will learn how to balance the needs of team and individual tasks, create a positive team climate, and promote appropriate followership.

Exceptional time management and delegation: Good delegation and time management skills are essential for having success in business today. In this course, you will learn more about time management, delegation and personal leverage, barriers to effective delegation, and how to accelerate people up their competence curve.
